London, 2nd September 2005: Humax, one of the world's largest set-top box manufacturers today announces the launch of its first twin tuner personal video recorder (PVR) for Digital Terrestrial TV, which offers the largest hard-drive available for free-to-air digital TV recording and an unparalleled range of features. The twin tuners allow you to record two digital terrestrial channels whilst watching a recorded programme; watch a digital terrestrial channel whilst recording another; or simply record two digital terrestrial channels while watching an analogue channel on your TV.

The PVR-9200T offers a feature-rich, easy-to-use alternative to a VCR. Using the remote control you can select the TV programme you want to record from the seven day Electronic Programme Guide (EPG) and it will be automatically stored onto the PVR·¯s massive 160-gigabyte hard disk drive, which can store up to 100 hours of programming. Live pause and instant rewind features also give viewers full control over what they are watching at the touch of a button.

The PVR-9200T also comes with a USB port for connection to a PC, enabling you to download and store MP3 and jpg files onto the 160 Gb hard disk drive and then play them back through your TV and surround sound system.

The twin tuner PVR also offers the following functionality:

  • Common Interface for easy upgrade to the Top Up TV service
  • Automatic installation
  • The Humax easy-to-use menu driven interface
  • A seven day EPG
