Humax Launches
First 160gb Twin Tuner PVR On Freeview - Sep 2, 2005
London, 2nd September 2005: Humax, one of the world's largest
set-top box manufacturers today announces the launch of its
first twin tuner personal video recorder (PVR) for Digital
Terrestrial TV, which offers the largest hard-drive available
for free-to-air digital TV recording and an unparalleled range
of features. The twin tuners allow you to record two digital
terrestrial channels whilst watching a recorded programme;
watch a digital terrestrial channel whilst recording another;
or simply record two digital terrestrial channels while watching
an analogue channel on your TV.
The PVR-9200T offers a feature-rich, easy-to-use alternative
to a VCR. Using the remote control you can select the TV programme
you want to record from the seven day Electronic Programme
Guide (EPG) and it will be automatically stored onto the PVR·¯s
massive 160-gigabyte hard disk drive, which can store up to
100 hours of programming. Live pause and instant rewind features
also give viewers full control over what they are watching
at the touch of a button.
The PVR-9200T also comes with a USB port for connection to
a PC, enabling you to download and store MP3 and jpg files
onto the 160 Gb hard disk drive and then play them back through
your TV and surround sound system.
The twin tuner PVR also offers the following functionality:
- Common Interface for easy upgrade to the Top Up TV service
- Automatic installation
- The Humax easy-to-use menu driven interface
- A seven day EPG
- An MHEG-5 engine allowing digital text and interactive
services
- High quality Dolby Digital Audio output
- USB port for connectivity to your PC
