London, 27th April 2005: Humax, one of the world's largest
set-top box manufacturers, has today announced the launch
of its first TopUp TV ready set-top box. The Humax MG-TUI

to older TVs without a scart input.
New channels are added automatically when available and the
user-friendly over-the-air software upgrade capability ensures
maximum product life. Unlike most other set-top boxes, the
Humax MG-TUI comes with a two-year warranty and a scart lead
is also included.
·°With the first analogue signals due to be switched off in
less than three years, consumers are becoming more aware of
the need to buy future-proof digital TV products with a long
shelf life. The MG-TUI underlines our commitment to meeting
those needs by allowing viewers to add the popular paid-for
TopUp TV viewing package alongside the free-to-air Freeview
channels,·± said Dale Heathcote, UK Commercial Director for
Humax.
The Humax MG-TUI is available from the end of April 2005.
