- Humax Introduces The First of LCD Integrated Digital TV Range

London, 8th November 2004: Humax, one of the world's largest set-top box manufacturers has increased competition in the integrated digital TV (IDTV) space with the launch of its chic new family of LCD IDTV's. The line offers an innovative design with a sleek black finish and stylish flat screen, which means that the range is a perfect complement to today's modern viewing environments. The LGB-26DTT is the first of the family to hit the shops, followed by the LGB-26TPVR, a 26" LCD IDTV with integrated personal video recorder (PVR) and the LGB-32TPVR, a 32" LCD IDTV and integrated PVR at the beginning of 2005.

The LGB-26DTT offers fantastic PIP (picture in picture) or split screen viewing for the user to watch two digital channels or one digital and one analogue channel simultaneously. The LGB-26DTT will be followed by the arrival of the additional members of the LCD IDTV family, the LGB-26TPVR and LGB-32TPVR, which will contain all the functionality of the LGB-26DTT with the benefit of an integrated 40gb multi source PVR, allowing the user to record up to 20 hours of television from either the internal tuners or separate devices such as a Sky set-top box or cable boxes

The LGB-26DTT is packed with the high standard of features that users have come to expect from Humax including integrated digital TV, which includes fifty Freeview channels without the need for an additional set-top box and three-dimensional on-screen display. Additionally, the TV contains a common interface (CI) slot on the back of the TV, which allows you to add even more TV channels through the Top-Up TV service for a monthly fee, this gives access to other popular digital channels including E4 and UKGold. In addition Humax's LGB-26DTT and the other models in the family offer the following functionality:

• MHEG-5 engine enabling digital text and interactive services
• High quality Dolby Digital output.
• New channels are added automatically when they become available
• Over-the-air user-friendly software upgrade capability ensures maximum product life
• Two digital and one analogue tuner for use with PIP - watch two digital channels or one digital and one analogue channel simultaneously
• A fast and easily navigable eight day EPG which fully supports the extended programme information allowing customers to plan their preferred viewing
• S-Video input for VCR
• 4 AV inputs for camcorders, digital cameras, PC connection, satellite, cable and DVI input for High Definition TV
