To upgrade, you will need software and download tool. Also, to connect your PC with the set-top box, you will need a RS232 cable.

Before you start, please determine whether your model is Non-Superset, Superset or OAK.

HUMAX determines the models in the following manner :
> Non-Superset and Superset models are F1, F1-CI, F1-VA and F1-VACI.
> OAK includes all other models, such as IRCI-5400Z and VACI-5300.

For your purposes, however, all you will need to know is the differences between Superset and Non-Superset for F1, F1-CI, F1-VA and F1-VACI. We will walk you through the process below.

First, check the current status by accessing the "STB Status" menu.
If the existing software version starts with "S", your model is Superset. Otherwise, it's Non-superset.

The parenthesized passage of model list on upper right of this page indicates the software name of the model.

Please note that, due to the provisions in our agreement with Viaccess, we are unable to list Viaccess-related software here, except F1-VA and F1-VACI.
